The statement stressed that the so-called "rules-based international order" of the West is a self-privilege in violation of international law. As a result of NATO operations, there are growing hotbeds of instability, the destruction of states, rampant terrorism, impunity for war crimes, rivers of civilian blood, including children, and streams of refugees. In order to gain the upper hand, NATO continues its provocative policy of expansion, which has led to increased militarization and military-political tensions.
In view of the challenges and threats to Russia's security and interests that NATO has identified, Russia will use all means and methods at its disposal to respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
In addition, the G7 announced on the sidelines of the NATO summit on the 12th that it would provide long-term security guarantees to Ukraine. Russian presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said on the same day that providing so-called "security guarantees" to Ukraine is extremely wrong and very dangerous, and will affect Russia's security. Peskov also said that NATO is an alliance that brings aggression to the world.
