COSCO Shipping Holds The First Flight Ceremony Of The South American East Europe Route in Argentina

    On September 18th, COSCO Shipping Argentina Limited's "South American East Europe" route held its inaugural ceremony at the La Plata River Cruise Terminal in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Chinese Ambassador to Argentina Wang Wei, General Manager of COSCO Shipping Argentina Co., Ltd. Wan Tiegen, Minister of Transportation Juliano of Argentina, and Port Authority Director Beni attended the event and delivered speeches. More than a hundred representatives from various sectors attended the event, including Deputy Commander of the Argentine Coast Guard, Bono, officials from the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Economy, as well as Commercial Counselor Xia Di Ya of the Chinese Embassy in Argentina, and President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (Argentina) Zhang Junguo.
    Wang Wei pointed out in his speech that both China and Argentina are currently in a critical stage of development. Both sides continue to strengthen policy communication, facility connectivity, financial integration, and people-to-people connectivity, which not only benefits the two countries and their people, but also helps improve regional connectivity, industrial integration, and integration construction, ensuring the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains. The opening of the South American East Europe route by COSCO Shipping is beneficial for Argentina to expand import and export trade, reduce freight costs, and play a positive role in Argentina's economic and social development and people's well-being.

Wan Tiegen, General Manager of COSCO Shipping Argentina Co., Ltd., stated that 28 years ago, COSCO Shipping opened its business in Argentina and actively participated in maritime logistics cooperation in the construction of large-scale projects such as subways, railways, wind power, and hydropower in Argentina, witnessing the rapid development of practical cooperation between the two countries.
