Understand the parameter index of the speaker

Understand the parameter index of the speaker!

1.Drive Units: generally refers to the diameter of the speaker unit. It is often measured in inches (1 inch = 25.4mm). Take the tweeter as an example. 0.75 inches, 1 inch, 1 ½ inches are more common, and 4 to 6 inches are common. About the midrange , the bass is 5 to 10 inches is more common. Generally speaking, the larger the size of the loudspeaker , the larger the area of the applied air, the looser and louder the sound, but the production cost and driving cost are correspondingly higher.

2.Diaphragm refers to the sound-producing material of the speaker unit. It is required to maintain the rigidity and strength as lighter as possible. The commonly used materials for tweeters are divided into metal film and non-metal film. The metal film materials include aluminum, aluminum-magnesium alloy, Copper alloy, titanium, beryllium, etc.

3.The frame is the installation skeleton of the speaker unit. The frame materials are generally ABS engineering plastics, stamped iron, cast iron, cast aluminum, etc. Among them, cast aluminum has become the standard for advanced speaker units due to its light weight, easy forming, anti-magnetic and good heat dissipation.

4.Frequency response:It refers to the ability of the speaker speaker to reproduce high and low frequencies. As an important indicator of the speaker specification, it is simply the range (unit Hz) of the sound frequency that the speaker speaker can reproduce during playback. This is related to the speaker structure and unit size characteristics. The frequency divider circuit is closely related. The frequency response range (20Hz-20kHz) that can be heard by the human ear is used as a reference. The wider the index, the better the speaker quality.
