How many materials are there for speaker box?
1. Synthetic
Synthetic materials are mainly wood, which needs to be chemically treated to make the wood products waterproof and mothproof, and then pressed. Such as dense version (MDF), three plywood, waterproof board and so on. The synthetic material is uniform, and the quality of the speakers can also be well controlled. Therefore, most of the speakers we currently see are made of synthetic panels.
1. Logs
Logs refer to boards that have not been processed and are original wood. Due to the non-uniform density, we can judge by tapping on different parts of the board according to the different sounds. When using such a cabinet, the sound quality of each speaker will be different, and the quality cannot be well controlled. Unless in the initial processing stage of logs, very precise corrections can be obtained. But this will also increase its cost. At present, the usual practice is to use the wood grain of the log as decoration.
3. Plastic
The main feature of plastic speakers is that they are easy to process, and the shape can be designed to be more beautiful, getting rid of the dull brick appearance of wooden speakers. Such as ABS engineering plastics used in most speakers. Generally speaking, plastic materials are used in low-end speakers, but this is not absolute, but in China, the technology is not yet proficient, and the sound quality of plastic speakers cannot be guaranteed. Some high-end speakers abroad also use plastic materials.
The selection of speakers is one of the important factors affecting sound quality.
