Hydraulic pump operating principle
A hydraulic element that provides a pressurized fluid for a hydraulic drive, a pump. Its function is to convert the mechanical energy of power engines, such as electric motors and internal combustion engines, into the pressure energy of liquids. The working principle of a single plunger pump is shown in the figure. The CAM is rotated by an electric motor. When the CAM pushes the plunger upward, the sealing volume formed by the plunger and the cylinder body decreases, and the oil is extruded from the sealing volume and discharged to the required place through the one-way valve. When the CAM rotates to the descending part of the curve, the spring forces the plunger downward, forming a certain degree of vacuum, the oil in the oil tank under the action of atmospheric pressure into the sealing volume. The convex wheel causes the plunger to rise and fall continuously, the sealing volume periodically decreases and increases, the pump continuously sucks oil and drains oil.
