Description

At the heart of the loudspeaker is a 7inch Ring Magnet. It is a permanent magnet - that is, it has a fixed polarity - that interacts with the electromagnet produced in the speaker coil. 7inch Ring Magnetof opposite polarity attract each other. 7inch Ring Magnet of the same polarity repel each other. The polarity of the voice coil alternates back and forth with the alternating current applied to the coil. It is this force of attraction and repulsion between the voice coil and the permanent magnet that causes the loudspeaker to move and the sound waves to be emitted.

Magnets are the basis for providing the size of the magnetic energy product. Nowadays, the popular magnets for car audio are generally ferrite magnets and NdFeB magnets.

Ferrite magnet: it is the most commonly used magnet, it is made of iron oxide sintered; due to the different purity and the size of the magnetic field strength, there are different grades from Y20 to Y35 due to the strength of the magnetism, generally it is distinguished by the surface magnetic strength of the magnet, Y20 is the lowest grade and Y35 is the highest. The disadvantage is that the shape is bigger and fragile, and the coercivity is lower and easier to demagnetize.

NdFeB magnet: It is a magnet with high coercivity made by adding rare elements such as neodymium and boron to pure iron, because of its high coercivity, it is not easy to magnetize or demagnetize and needs special magnetizer to magnetize. It has the characteristics of small size and high magnetic field strength, but at the same time, due to its relatively large influence by temperature, generally, to 75 ℃ or more, the magnetic field strength decreases significantly with the increase of temperature.
